I’m going to speak on a few different fronts that will tie together. Before I begin though I really must emphasize I am not one of those persons who sees conspiracies and espionage in all things, but I do pay attention to what is really happening and have a firm belief system rooted in God’s Word.
I foresee this country heading for very serious economic and spiritual times:
-- Spiritually - This country is spiritually and morally bankrupt (sorry to use a catchphrase, but it truly does describe our nation spiritually). We allow homosexuals and transvestites to dictate what we teach our children and allow over the airwaves. We glorify despicable people like Howard Stern, Lindsay Lohan (who, oh BTW, just shacked up with her female “BFF”), Paris Hilton, Hugh Hefner, etc… Yet the people of this country are being taught that is it okay to despise, ridicule, and condemn our Christian leaders, and those who try to live their lives how God wants them too. We have allowed the vocal minority to remove prayer from our schools, the 10 Commandments from our courts and any public buildings, made it unacceptable to say the Pledge of Allegiance, are trying to remove “In God We Trust” from our money, and made it acceptable to kill millions of unborn children a year through abortion. As we continue to be removed further and further from God’s favor (our nation was founded on the Word of God!!!) He will remove His protection from this nation and literally All Hell will break loose.
-- Economically – Before I speak about the gas crisis I need to address our food supply. I don’t know if you’ve heard about the missing honeybees? As you know, honeybees pollinate almost all of our food. Take them away and our food sources begin to disappear. For @ least the past 2 years the world’s honeybees are dying off and just plain missing. Do you remember when you were younger and were walking through a garden or field and seeing lots of bees flying around? Sometimes it seemed as though you couldn’t walk through your own yard without the fear of being stung. When was the last time you saw any honeybees? They are disappearing and dying off and no one (scientists, honeybee farmers, etc…) can explain it, or find the cause. Without the honeybees our food becomes more scarce, we can’t help feed the rest of the world and the price of our food becomes astronomical (predicted in the Book of Revelation in the Bible – Rev 6:6 “And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.” The side notes in my Bible say in today’s wages, the price for food will be roughly 8 times what it should be. BTW, honeybees do NOT pollinate oil and wine.)
The gas crisis is being fabricated by several groups who may not be working together, but combined are helping to ruin our country. The President of Iran (make that all of the Islamic extremists) and the leader of Brazil have both declared they will do whatever it takes to wipe the US off the face of the earth. The leader of Brazil has publicly stated he will ruin our country through control of his oil. Both country leaders would like nothing more than to see our country disintegrate and implode on itself. Assisting these men in their task (whether knowingly or not?) is a consortium of world leaders (and I’m certain very powerful people on a global scale) who are working towards making this world a more global world economy. I believe eventually there will be regional alliances/unions. The Islamic nations will be united under the Anti Christ; there will a United Americas (Canada, the US, Mexico and more than likely the South American countries); The European Union; The far east (China, Japan, and most, if not all, of Asia). The #1 way to attain that goal – destroy the US economically. NO ONE could destroy us militarily. But, if they can do it economically then they can control/manipulate our citizens and get it to where “we” accept the dissolution of our sovereign nation and become a member of a “more stable” economic union – NAFTA - precursor? hmm…?).
I don’t care what Obama denies/says, he IS Islamic and WILL work with the Islamic countries to subvert our nation and Israel – God’s chose people/land). Knowing just how radical the Islamic extremists are you can probably understand how closed their society and borders have been to Christianity. There are basically 2 different factions of Islamic - the Shiites and Sunnis. Both factions (branches) deeply believe (hope for) that their particular Mudjahedine will be the Great Prophet that returns and leads the Islamic nations into a complete annihilation of Israel. (That is what scares me about Obama. NOT that he won't wear a lapel pin or salute/respect our National Anthem/flag - both things that do disturb me. BUT that he is fundamentally Islamic and will make concessions to those countries AGAINST Israel.) BTW, the Anti Christ will rise up from one of the Islamic nations. We must always remember the land of Israel was given to the Jews by God as their land for His chosen people. Jesus is a Jew. So, if those Islamic extremists (and I truly believe almost ALL Islamics when it comes down to the Koran, or supporting the western culture and beliefs, will support and defend their “true” beliefs - the Koran) believe their Prophet/Leader will come from their tribe they must not fail him. The leader of Iran has publicly stated he wants to wipe Israel and the US from the face of the earth. These people are extreme!!!
The war in Iraq (for whatever reason Bush/his allies gave) is truly being conducted for one reason - The TRUE, REAL reason we are in Iraq and Afghanistan is because God has enabled us to be there. You see, we (the west) bring the knowledge of Jesus to that part of the world. In the Bible Jesus said that before He can return (in the Rapture) the entire world would know who He is (God's Son - our Redeemer) and what He did for mankind. Not necessarily that every person will get a chance to hear about His sacrifice, but that the Good News (the story of Jesus and through His death the redemption for our sins) will be preached in all languages. With the Internet, radio, satellite, etc… that has pretty much been done. NOW through the help of the west that entire region is open (to a certain extent). There are actually Christian churches in Iraq, Iran and Bibles being spread throughout Afghanistan and that part of the world.
From a personal standpoint, I hate to see what that war has done to this nation and our fighting forces through all the suffering and hardship their sacrifices have accounted for. However, as a believer and follower of Jesus I am thankful to God for allowing the people in that part of the world an opportunity to hear the message of Jesus. Without our presence there, perhaps thousand or even tens of thousands may have never heard of Jesus and who He actually is - the Son of God.
I truly believe we are living in the last days. Everything that is happening globally is setting up for the End Time. I have no idea on the timeframe – it could be in the next minute, or the next 5-10 years, but I do believe Jesus will return in during our lifetime. And that my friends, is an entirely different writing.
I’m going to share some things with you guys because I know what your belief system is and that each of you are Christians or, as I call myself, a “Follower of Jesus.” (I don’t subscribe to any particular religion like Baptist or Pentecostal, etc…) I am not sharing this with too many people (except I am going to post it on my website: JesusLovesYouToo.com – I may amend it a little though) mainly because they would think I am a person who sees doom & gloom everywhere or that I’m just plain off my rocker. Hopefully after you all read this you won’t feel the same way.
I believe we (this country) is very near a true oil, natural gas, fuel, etc… shortage. I think we are headed for a very hard time that will last for a fairly short period (2 weeks to 2-6 months). Food (human and animal food) that is available @ the grocery stores and on the shelves will be very scarce due to the fact there will be no diesel fuel and gas for the trucks or it will cost such an extremely high amount truckers won’t be able to afford to fill their trucks. There will be severe shortages of food and the basic necessities. This may be caused by one or more of our suppliers actually cutting off our supply or it may de due to some type of natural disaster, war, or perhaps it may be caused by terrorist activities. I would never rule out terrorist activities in conjunction with other factors.
What I suggest we all do is this.
1st – Get closer to God and Jesus. Jesus is our Rock and our Fortress. Remember, the Holy Spirit lives in us (dwells within us) once we accepted Jesus as our Savior and asked for forgiveness of our sins. Philip Yancey in his book “Reaching for the Invisible God” describes the Holy Spirit like this, “Something of God’s Essence, the same Spirit who hovered over the waters at Creation, now lives inside flawed human beings, giving us the Recognition of a new identity: “And by Him we cry ‘Abba, Father.’ (Abba is Aramaic for Father.) The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.’”
The reason Jesus sent the Comforter (the Holy Spirit) to dwell within us is because once He ascended up to Heaven He was no longer physically with us on Earth. Also in Yancey’s book: “… a Comforter who would achieve an intimacy so close that we somehow participate in the very actions of God on earth: God does His work through us.” That’s why the Church is called the “Body of Christ.” So, we need to do what it says in the Bible: pray without ceasing and be thankful in all things.
When I get up in the morning, I sit on the side of my bed and say, "God, if I don't get anything else done today, I want to know You more and love You better." God didn't put me on earth just to fulfill a to-do list.
He's more interested in what I am than what I do. That's why we're called human beings, not human doings.
Happy moments, PRAISE GOD.
Difficult moments, SEEK GOD.
Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD.
Painful moments, TRUST GOD.
Every moment, THANK GOD. "
2nd – Do not quit tithing and supporting your local church. We must still help each other and give from our heart. Share as you can, but watch out for those who will take advantage of your giving spirit and may not truly need your help.
3rd – Each family/person needs to start collecting provisions that will sustain them through these times. Set aside a 5th of everything you buy to be ready for this period of time. I’m not suggesting you go on a hoarding binge and buy out the store of all its food. But I am saying to start buying canned goods (meats, veggies, animal food, etc…), bottled water, and basically any other type provisions (meds) that will last an indefinite period of time and can be stored. A 5th is based on Genesis when Joseph stored a 5th of the provisions while he was in Egypt to prepare for the coming famine.
4th – It might not be a bad idea to start a garden of some sort. I heard you could get some bails of hay and cut out the center and fill it with dirt and grow your veggies in there. I understand that works very well. Grow your own veggies and save some $$ while having fun with the kids.
5th – Help your other family members to be prepared mentally and emotionally for these upcoming times.
6th – Try to save up about $300 in small bills. Who knows if the banks will be open or if you’ll be able to use your debit/credit cards or you may actually need to use cash.
7th – Try to get out of heavy debt. Try very hard not to incur more debt. Pay down the high interest credit cards 1st, then the next, etc…
8th – Do not respond in Fear, but instead respond in Faith.
And finally know we will recover. This will be a very traumatic time for all of us, but if we are ready and prepared (especially spiritually) we will make it through these times. Remember, our Lord and Savior will protect us and sustain us. He will see us through this period and those to come.
